Recycling Centres (Drop-off points)

Businesses officially registered for the TARI tax (and listed in the relevant legal categories) can drop off non-hazardous waste similar to household waste for free at our Municipal Recycling Centres.

To transport and drop off waste yourself, your business must have:

• Registration with the National Environmental Registry (Albo Gestori Ambientali – Category 2BIS). This permit must list the specific vehicles and waste types you are transporting.

You may drop off items listed in the “L-quater” annex, including:

• Bulky waste: Furniture, office/garden furniture, etc.
• Green waste: Grass cuttings and prunings.
• WEEE (Electronic waste): Large and small appliances, phones, computers, monitors, TVs, etc.
• Printer toner.
• Fluorescent tubes (neon) and other lamps.
• Batteries and lead-acid batteries from vehicle maintenance.
• Wood and metal.

For electronics retailers or repair shops (distributors) transporting household-type WEEE, you must have:

• Registry with the National Environmental Registry (Category 3BIS).
• Specific WEEE transport documentation as required by law (DM 65/2010).

Without the correct documentation, your load will be rejected.

Please note that industrial/special waste is not accepted. This includes: asbestos, construction rubble, hazardous/toxic waste, boats, cars, motorcycles, and engines.

Dumping waste outside the gates is a crime and will be prosecuted under environmental law.
