Our Waste Stations (Controlled Access Recycling Points)

Our Waste Stations (Controlled Access Recycling Points) are designed to keep recycling efficient even during busy tourist seasons. These stations are strategically located for departing tourists who might leave before their next scheduled home collection.

These stations accept all 5 types of waste: Organic, Plastic/Metal, Paper/Cardboard, Glass, and General Waste.

You can access them using your Health Card (Tessera Sanitaria) or an ESA-authorized card (available at ESA offices). The colored bands on the bins match European recycling standards to help you sort correctly.

How it works:

1. Press the button.
2. Swipe your card in the slot above the button.
3. Open the relevant hatch.
4. Drop in your waste.
5. Close the hatch.

ATTENTION: RESIDENTS OF MARCIANA & POGGIO

Since Feb 1, 2023, recycling in Marciana and Poggio is handled via PRIVATE Waste Station (Controlled Access Recycling Points) for residents only.
