Recycling Centres
If you are a resident registered for the local waste tax (TARI), you can drop off household waste and similar items for free at our Municipal Recycling Centres. This service is specifically for items that don’t belong in (or won’t fit in) standard street bins.
Access is completely free. In fact, you must use these centres for the types of waste listed below. (If you’re ever unsure, just give us a call on our toll-free number: 800 688 850).
- Bulky waste: such as indoor and garden furniture, large toys, etc.
- Garden waste: grass cuttings and prunings from small gardening tasks performed directly by the resident (DIY).
- Electronic waste (WEEE): large and small appliances (washing machines, fridges, dishwashers, water heaters, ovens, electric razors, toasters, blenders, irons, etc.), mobile phones, computers, monitors, and TVs.
- Rubble and DIY waste: small amounts of construction waste or debris from minor home repairs performed directly by the resident.
- Empty printer toners from home/private use.
- Fluorescent tubes (neon) and other types of light bulbs.
- Batteries and lead-acid batteries from private vehicle maintenance performed by the owner.
- Expired medicines.
- Wood and metal.
- Used cooking oil from home use (e.g., frying oil).
You can use a company vehicle or a rented van to drop off waste up to five times per year. To do this, you must present a “Self-Declaration Form” (Dichiarazione di Atto Notorio), which you can download here.
Without this form and meeting these conditions, the load cannot be accepted.
We reserve the right to forward these declarations to the authorities or the TARI tax office to verify that the information provided is true and accurate.
Please note that special or industrial waste is not accepted. This includes items such as asbestos (Eternit), hazardous/toxic waste, boats, vehicles, and combustion engines.
Dumping waste outside the gates of the Recycling Centre is illegal (Fly-tipping) and is punishable by law (Decree 152/06).
